ChargeMeter Live Wallpaper is designed to run on all devices with a minimal footprint. Designed for older devices as well the latest Marshmallow and Nougat builds!

1 - Press / Hold on the home screen

3 - Choose "Live Wallpapers"
You can either just go with the default meter type, or go to "Settings" to customize your wallpaper.

Unfortunately, there is no consistent reliable way to measure battery charge / discharge current across the wide variety Android devices made by a large number of manufacturers.

The current readings obtained in this app use the excellent code from Ran Manor, which does a fine job on most devices. Ultimately, each device manufacturer has a say in how they implement the details of their battery charge circuitry, where (if at all) this data is located, and how often it the data is updated. Personal experience as an Android QA Engineer for a large device manufacturer showed me that even the manufacturer themsevles can have difficulty when it comes to battery charge statistics!

So what this means is this -- The only way to accurately compare charge cable and wallbrick setups is to measure how long it takes the battery to change charge levels (% change in battery voltage) with EACH combination of cable / wallbrick OVER TIME. This may take 5 - 10 minutes per setup change to get accurate results. A plan is in the works, so stay tuned!!

NOTE: The displayed current reading can be refreshed manually by tapping the home screen. (This also will force an update of the Charge Level).
